Use Organizer mode to give files and folders clear, descriptive names. Rename one item at a time.

To rename a file or folder:

1.Switch to Organizer mode.

2.Open the folder that contains the item.

3.Select the file or folder to rename in the Folder Contents window.

4.Select File > Rename.

5.Type the new name.

6.Press Enter.

You can also press F2 to edit the selected item's name. Another option is to right-click the item and select Rename.

Naming guidelines:

§File and folder names cannot contain these characters: \ / : * ? " < > |.

§If a file extension is shown when you edit the name, keep it unchanged.

§The Rename command is unavailable for items that Windows or the program does not allow you to rename.
