Use Organizer mode to delete files and folders you no longer need. Deleting a folder also deletes its contents.
Caution: Check the selected items before deleting them. Deleted items do not always go to the Recycle Bin. Keep a backup of inspection data you may need later. When you delete an infrared image using File > Delete or the Delete key, its linked visual images are also included in the deletion. |
To delete files or folders: 1.Switch to Organizer mode. 2.Open the folder that contains the items. 3.Select the files or folders to delete in the Folder Contents window. 4.Select File > Delete. |
You can also press the Delete key or right-click a selected item and select Delete. To delete a folder from the Folders window, right-click the folder and select Delete.
If a confirmation dialog appears, review the items listed before confirming the deletion.
Deletion and the Recycle Bin
Ordinary deletion on a local drive normally sends items to the Windows Recycle Bin. You can restore them while they remain there.
Items deleted from flash drives or network locations may bypass the local Recycle Bin. Windows settings or policies can also cause items to be deleted without being sent to it. Do not assume that a deleted item can be recovered from the Recycle Bin.
Delete permanently
To bypass the Recycle Bin, hold down Shift while deleting, or press Shift+Delete for the selected items. Items deleted this way cannot be restored from the Recycle Bin.
