Use line measurement objects to analyze temperatures along a straight or segmented path. A line can display its minimum, maximum, and average temperatures and produce a temperature profile.
Choose the line type from the line-tool submenu:
§Free Line: Draws a straight line in any direction.
§Horizontal Line: Draws a horizontal line.
§Vertical Line: Draws a vertical line.
§Polyline: Draws a path consisting of multiple connected segments.
Draw a straight line
1.Open the line-tool submenu on the analysis toolbar. 2.Select Free Line, Horizontal Line, or Vertical Line. 3.Drag from the start point to the end point in the focused image. |
Draw a polyline
1.Open the line-tool submenu on the analysis toolbar. 2.Select Polyline. 3.Click the first point in the focused image. 4.Click each additional vertex in sequence. 5.Right-click to finish the polyline. |
View temperature profiles
When you create a line, IRT Cronista displays its temperature profile in the Graphs area. The horizontal axis shows consecutive pixels along the line from its start point to its end point. The vertical axis shows temperature.
If the Graphs area is hidden, select View > Windows > Graphs.
If the focused image contains multiple lines, the graph displays all their profiles. The active line's profile is bold, and the displayed Min, Max, and Avg values apply to that line.
Right-click the graph to copy it or change settings for the active line.
Note: The Graphs area can display several profiles together. In a report, each profile placeholder displays the profile for one line object. |
Set the profile scale
Use the same custom scale when you need to compare profile heights against the same temperature limits.
1.Select the line or lines to change. 2.Right-click a selected line. 3.Select Profile Scale .... 4.Select Auto or Custom. 5.For a custom scale, enter the minimum and maximum temperatures. 6.Click OK. |
The selected scale applies to every selected line. Auto adjusts the vertical scale to the profile data; Custom uses the specified temperature limits.
Display a profile on the image
Right-click a line object and select On-Image Profile to display its temperature profile directly over the infrared image. Select the command again to hide the on-image profile.
Note: The Profile Scale ... setting does not affect the on-image profile. |
Select or delete all lines
Open the line-tool submenu and select Select Lines to select all line objects in the focused image. Select Delete Lines to remove them.
